ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION - A COUNTERFEIT BABEL

This past Friday evening at our local church’s regular Watch of the Lord a strategy of the enemy was revealed, one that was causing the church and the righteous of this nation to become confused and divided.

The strategy was a counterfeit of Babel; if we are united nothing is impossible especially with the power of God’s Spirit, the enemy knows this. Everyone wants secure borders and none of us want to promote lawlessness and illegal immigration, however this is not the issue of the hour for the Church of Jesus Christ. It is a feint of the enemy to get us distracted, divided, confused, with various opinions and voices. In essence, everyone is speaking a different language. The spirit of Babylon is behind this, it is his plan to take back the ground that the righteous have gained over the past several years. The tower we have been building is one of righteousness; the enemy wants this to stop.

NO LAW CAN SECURE OUR BORDERS

The only thing that can secure our borders is the Spirit of God. We decry the lawlessness of illegal immigration when we ourselves as a nation promote lawlessness towards God and His commandments. We have, as Psalm 2 states, tried to throw off the “fetters of the Lord and His anointed one”. The Psalm says that “He who is enthroned in heaven laughs…”. We truly must “kiss the Son” in this hour and not become embroiled in a feint of the enemy. The issue of the hour for the church is still before us, abortion, Roe vs. Wade has not yet been overturned.

Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

We have had some victories, however we can not relax, we cannot become divided, and two new Supreme Court Justices cannot cause us to turn to other issues. The war for the soul of this nation has not been won. This coming election of 2006 is critical; we cannot allow immigration to take precedent over where a candidate stands on abortion, righteousness, and judicial activism. Only a revival of righteousness and a move of repentance can secure our borders.

PRESS IN AND CRY OUT FOR THE UNBORN!

We as a nation and the church in this nation have no moral authority to demand secure borders when the borders of the womb have not been honored and respected! If we will continue to pray and call forth for the overturning of this evil judicial decision then our borders will be secured by the Lord himself and He again will be our shield. We must stay on the wall as intercessors and watchmen until this issue is righteously settled.

We’ve heard it over and over, yet it is still true;

2 Chron 7:13-15 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

LAWLESSNESS VERSUS LAWLESSNESS

I have heard so many become angry over the immigration issue saying “they are breaking the law!” Our borders are not secure because we are breaking His laws! We need the Holy Spirit to arouse a righteous and holy anger in us that causes unrighteousness and evil to be overthrown in us and in our nation.

We are so close to seeing the breakthrough of righteousness and revival, we must continue to hold the ground we’ve taken and keep advancing and not become distracted! There is one issue before us that is the very heart of the Father, the Spirit of Elijah is crying out for our hearts to be turned to the children. We cannot combat lawlessness in our land when we ourselves, our courts, and our nation’s statutes are lawless before God.

ONLY GOD CAN SECURE OUR BORDERS

The victory is very close, that is why the enemy is trying to distract and divide. There is the possibility for another vacancy to open in the courts that could be filled by this president. He needs a congress that will support his appointments, a congress that will insure the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. We must continue to press in and pray for our president and for the continued election and incumbency of righteous leaders and lawmakers!

May the wisdom and cry of the Psalmist be ours!

Ps 33:10-12, 16, 18-22

The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, Just as we hope in You.

THE "BAAL CONTENDERS"

ARE COMING FORTH
on 7-7-07!

Several months ago the Lord directed me to the story of Gideon. It appeared that over the last 18 months many ministries and churches had been experiencing a pruning of their supporters and members. These ministries are Kingdom centered and are embracing the apostolic and prophetic heart of God for this new season, and ours was one of them. The Lord showed me that it was His hand at work preparing a Gideon army that would overthrow the Midianite spirit in this land and bring down the structures of Baal.

In December we took a group of young people to the "Ramp" (Karen Wheaton's amazing ministry to the younger generation in Hamilton, AL) where we heard Lou Engle passionately share about the "Call Nashville" that is to be held on 7-7-07, we also heard Dutch Sheets share about 7 being synonymous with the Hebrew word for oath and that on 7-7-07 we were going to re-seven (re-covenant) ourselves to God and break our covenant with Baal as a nation and break the 40 year curse of the sexual revolution that began in the "Summer of Love" in San Francisco in 1967.

We were so radically encouraged that we came back and shared the DVD’s of these messages with our church body and a spirit of repentance and revival began breaking out in our fellowship, pruned though we are! We all began booking our hotel rooms for the 7-7-07 date in Nashville.

As we began sharing with our church about 7-7-07 one of our ladies began to look in the scriptures in reference to the 7-7-7 numbers. She found that the seventh book of the bible is Judges. In Judges (the 7^th book) the 7^th chapter and 7^th verse (7-7-7) this passage is found:

"The Lord said to Gideon, 'I will deliver you with the 300 men who lapped and will give the Midianites into your hands"

We feel this passage is significant because we are of the mindset that the Lord on 7-7-07 is going to give to a Gideon army that has been tested, consecrated, and pruned for His purposes power over the Midianite spirit in our nation!. After this victory Israel was given 40 years of peace and Gideon was known as Jerubbaal, one who contends, grapples with Baal and prevails. The Lord is going to give to the “Baal contenders” victory on 7-7-07!

THE COLUMBIA SHUTTLE "A SEED FALLING FROM HEAVEN"

When the Columbia Shuttle took off for its mission I was blessed to see the joining of the USA and Israel in this "heavenly" endeavor, especially since so many of us were engaging in the Psalm 91 Homeland Security prayer initiative released by Jim Goll which focuses us on praying specifically for the USA and Israel.. It was as if their ascendancy above this earthly realm was truly significant. When I heard that Rick Husband the commander of the mission was a Christian and led the crew in prayer before they took off and that Ilan Ramon the Israeli astronaut celebrated the sabbath on board I knew that indeed there was more going on here than the planned experiments, this mission was extremely significant in matters of heaven and earth.

As I watched in astonishment at the re-entry into the earth's atmosphere and the subsequent breakup I felt the Lord speak several things.

Many of us have heard Chuck Pierce's word on "Ascending in Worship and Descending in War". I felt that the shuttle in it's mission had ascended to a high place above the earth, it went forward in prayer and worship took place on board. It was on it's re-entry into the "second" heaven of the earth's atmosphere that it was engaged by the "Prince of the Power of the Air" (Eph. 2:2) who was furious with this alliance and all that took place on board. (This is the same enemy who if he had known what crucifying the Lord would have accomplished would never have done so [1 Cor. 2:8], nevertheless he always overplays his hand). I knew at that moment that the United States of America and the nation of Israel were being joined together in mutual tragedy in a way they could have never been joined before.

As I reflect now on the pieces falling from the sky I hear the Lord saying "....unless a seed falls to the ground and dies it will not bring forth fruit". The pieces that have fallen from this "heavenly seed" of precious Israeli and American lives fell over "Palestine" Texas and I believe the Lord says that we should expect great fruit from these martyrs of "Columbia" and from the joining of the United States and Israel in this time of tragedy and mourning. Indeed He shall turn our mourning into joy (Jer. 31:13), for what the enemy means for evil the Lord cause to work for good (Rom. 8:28)! Look for fruit to come forth in the fields of Palestine in the days yet to come, for the fields have been truly seeded with that which is dear to the Lord's heart.

In these days days of conflict as in all days the Lord does not waste anything as precious as His saints. If the sparrow does not fall without Him knowing it, how much more shall this "seed" bring forth the harvest of God's purpose in these two nations.

"Lord we pray your purposes and plans for the United States of America and the Nation of Israel!"

BLACK GOLD

As a son of Oklahoma and Texas I grew up hearing oil referred to as "black gold". The "black gold" of oil in Oklahoma and Texas was the source of those two states greatest wealth. I believe our Lord has also deposited a great wealth in our nation, a glorious deposit of "Black Gold", black men and women who will be the "oil" in the cities of America that will fuel revival as the Lord's fire falls in our land.

The Lord gave me a picture of His hand gathering and preserving for Himself a remnant of "Black Gold" from Islamic Africa over 300 years ago....this remnant became acquainted with the "fellowship of His sufferings" and knew the lash and of slavery. In their affliction they sowed fields in America that, when ripe, would be "White for the Harvest", (in the natural fields of cotton).

Through their affliction they developed a rich history of faith in Christ, they were gifted with rich songs of hope, and a dignity born out of trial and suffering, a history that saw emancipation in the 1860's and liberation in the 1960's with the emergence of a gifted and prophetic leader in the Reverend Martin Luther King. No matter how modern church historians record his life, he truly was a man raised up by God for a crucial hour in the history of this nation.

Now 30 years later it is time for us to intercede and pray for God to raise up the anointed, broken, humble, and gifted black men and women who, through His hand, will ignite the "Black Gold" in the cities of America!

A Wind of Mercy

We have seen the "Black Gold" ignited by the enemy through the torch of hatred, agony, and prejudice, when we watched Los Angeles burn with hatred after the Rodney King trial in the early nineties. I believe this past October, (at the same time the hurricane Opal blew from the Gulf of Mexico into Canada in 24 hours!) a wind of mercy blew from the throne of God with a "not guilty" verdict in the O.J. trial. Regardless of anyone's opinions (and that's what they are, for there is only one Judge, and let's leave judgment in His eternal hands), God had mercy on this nation and kept the fires of "hatred" at bay!

Time to Intercede!

Let's seize the window of opportunity that the Lord has graciously handed us and pray for the fire of God's revival to ignite the precious "Black Gold" that he deposited in this country over 300 years ago. Some precious people, white and black, have been called to leave all and pour out their lives in caring for the poor of the inner cities but they tend to be in the minority. However the black community as a whole is still unimpacted and I believe will be until we repent of our arrogance and pride as seeing the white church as the equippers of the blacks and cry out in prayer and intercession for the Lord himself to raise up anointed black men and women, to be leaders and equippers of the church. Broken, humble, black leaders filled with His Spirit, a passion for Christ, compassion for their people, love for His church, and a fervent hope for revival for all the people of this Nation!

I believe as this takes place we will see the precious "Black Gold" deposited by the Lord in this country over 300 years ago ignite the cities of America with the passionate flames of revival as this world has never seen! The beginning of this century saw the flames of" Pentecostal revival" break out in Los Angeles at a place called Azusa Street in meetings led by humble, anointed "black leaders", and from this Azusa Street Revival was birthed the great Pentecostal Denominations we know today, as well as the Charismatic Renewal! I believe it is in God's heart to see the end of this century burn with the flames of an even greater "Pentecostal revival" as the "Black Gold" of this nation catches fire for God. Just as at the beginning of this century the "Black Gold" ignited the whole church in revival fire so we are poised now for the torch of God's passion to ignite the "Black Gold" again!

As the black forefathers of our nation planted and sowed with tears and suffering the fields of white in this land centuries ago, and our black "mother's" wept over their own children of which they were bereaved, and loved and nurtured the children, not their own, entrusted to their care, let's pray that their heirs will reap in joy the spiritual fields that are even now "white unto harvest", and nurture and bring forth in mighty revival the children who are spiritual heirs to the Kingdom of God in this nation of ours.

Our Posture in This Hour

Let us continue to receive with great joy and passion the Lord's gracious outpouring of renewal, yet at the same time let us assume a posture of humility and repentance for our arrogance, pride, and fear and recognize that as a nation we were built on the foundations of both "black and white". As the church in this nation we will see revival only as we accept that we as "black and white" brothers and sisters are "joint heirs to the promises of God" one "new man in Christ" and indeed are co-laborers in the fields of harvest together as equals in the Kingdom of God!
